Wins Best of State Award

South Davis Community Hospital (SDCH) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as a
2010 recipient of a Utah Best of State Award. In the Merchandising & Consumer Services category, SDCH was honored for best Health Care Services. The medal was presented at the Best of State gala held on Saturday, May 29th in the Grand Ballroom of the Salt Palace Convention Center.

South Davis Community Hospital is a non-profit specialty care facility devoted to serving the
chronically ill. SDCH is a genuine “community hospital” with over 500 employees offering long term skilled nursing; long term acute care; pediatric transitional and long term care; home health and hospice services; orthopedic rehabilitation; assisted living; and, advanced respiratory services with tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent expertise.

“It is a privilege to be recognized by the Utah Best of State program,” said SDCH C.E.O. David Bland. “This honor is a tribute to South Davis Community Hospital’s dedicated employees and our commitment to provide quality care and compassion to our patients and customers.”

Best of State Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and
businesses in Utah. Each nomination is reviewed by more than 100 judges and is judged on its own merits and against specific criteria for each category.
